The last couple of months were a whirlwind of hard promotion for me, but it was well worth it. This year so far, I have tripled my total sales from all of last year. I received some glowing reviews, one from a Top 25 reviewer and one from a Top 75 reviewer out of the 150 million users across Goodreads. I had a string of successful marketing campaigns that culminated in WASHINGTON recently becoming a bestseller, peaking at #1, #6 and #11 across three categories on Amazon. And I also did my first author interview.
Something changed for me during this time... I guess, in a nut shell, I am all in on this writing thing now, for better or for worse. It feels good to be part of something. It feels good to be doing something that not everybody on this earth can do, and do well. I am now at this level where I'm juggling multiple projects. I am promoting one book, preparing another book, producing another book, pitching another book. That was a lot to take in but I suppose it was inevitable and bound to happen at some point.
My writing partner went through the new manuscript twice, which he said "broke him." I consider that a compliment, hehe. After I incorporated his feedback and went through it all again, I was very satisfied and am happy to say that I somehow achieved the vision I set out to achieve. So, I put together my final list of literary agents, some new, some from before, and we shall see. Again, I am all in so it doesn't even matter anymore. All I care about is the art itself and the process of creating, pushing myself well past my limits, and reaching the few out there dying for exactly what I have to offer.
