I realized I haven't posted in a while. Been meaning to, but just kept pushing it back. The idea for a different kind of blog has been lulling around in my brain, so I thought it was the perfect time. Basically, with the state of the world, there hasn't been much to do, other than catch up on Netflix (and now Disney and Hulu Plus) so here is an extensive list of what I've binged in a blur of missing time...

Stranger Things, Seasons 1-3

I've seen this multiple times, am currently wearing a t-shirt of it, and decided hey, why not watch it once more all the way through. My wife actually hadn't seen it so it all worked out.

13 Reasons Why, Season 4

There are shows you just gotta keep up with, and this is one for me. This being the final season, it was satisfactory. First season was perfect, and second and third had some pretty cool things going on that I did enjoy.

American Horror Story, Season 8

Another show I try to keep up with. This one started out great, but fizzled by the end. It was a nice little mash-up between seasons one and three.

Mulan

One of the first movies pushed back that I was dying to see. I actually like the string of live action remakes from Disney. Not to mention, I'm all about Asian representation. This was pretty enjoyable, though it was sad not to jam out to "I'll Make a Man Out of You."

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

First one wasn't bad, but this was just kinda meh. But, nice to see Asian representation.

The Avengers

I can't count down all the movies in the saga I started rewatching, but I can say it was all so enjoyable. No wonder these were so huge. It's hard to remember the magic of each one when they came out, but rewatching them in chronological order's been a fun roller coaster.

Anohana

This was the first of what would go on to be a huge anime binge run. It was by accident, too, with my wife just picking it out on a whim. Now this has become one of my favorite anime, and I've reconnected to the genre nice and strong. Hard not to cry in that last episode.

Your Lie in April

Pretty similar to above, so naturally this was next. If you want touching and depressing, fun, funny, as well as beautiful, deep and artistic, you've got to see it. My new fave anime show.

Your Name

Again, kind of similar. I actually watched this in theaters with subtitles, which I usually prefer, but wanted to rewatch. This is a masterpiece, and remains my fave anime movie.

Hunter x Hunter

I have never seen this, had no intention to ever watch this, but was sucked in almost immediately. This was pretty exciting and entertaining.

Naruto/Naruto Shippūden

I actually was a huge fan before, reading the manga every week, but never got to finish. So, riding along the wave of anime, I finally came back to it. And, man, I forgot how epic this series really was. I've got a figurine of the kazekage behind me on my desk.

Onward

Wasn't sure where to put this on the list, but it was a really good movie. It was early on in my binging and comes highly recommended.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

I used to like the cartoon, so was interested. This was way more fun and awesome than I thought it could be. Kind of silly, but in a great way.

Enola Holmes

I was waiting for this one and it didn't fail to deliver. Smart, fun, funny. Every actor's performance was superb. I hope there's a sequel.

This Is Us, Seasons 1-4

I always heard this was good, won awards, has been on my radar. I finally got to see it, and was blown away. The character work is so in-depth and the story arcs so momentous.

Ju-On: Origins

This was messed up, not gonna lie. But I'm a huge horror fan, and you can't deny the impact of Japanese horror in the early 2000s that scarred our psyches. I really hope there's a second season because it was masterfully done.

Cobra Kai, Seasons 1-2

I forgot how much I liked the original trilogy from the 80s. This is a fun and funny watch, with lots of throwbacks to the source material. Waiting for season three.

The Boys, Seasons 1-2

I'm still finishing this up, but it's an interesting concept, with some cool moments. In fact, I think I'll have to check out the comics now.

Tenet

I've seen every movie from this director, multiple times. And so, of course, I would have to rewatch this, which I did. It's gonna take me years to fully grasp, but it's incredible. So many interesting concepts, things you've just truly never seen before. Amazing.

Well, that about rounds it up. There are actually more movies and shows in there, but these are the most noteworthy. I decided I'm gonna have to do another post like this in the future, hopefully just the one, 'cause I'm sure a new list will accumulate. I always try to look on the bright side, and well, this is one, isn't it.
